With rubbish piling up from present unwrapping, you might be starting to think about when tips are open in Herefordshire over Christmas.

Herefordshire Council has said when its sites in Hereford, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Bromyard, Kington and Leominster will be open between Christmas and New Year.

The tips are all closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, but they will be open as usual throughout the rest of the festive period/.

Real Christmas trees can be composted with garden waste at the sites, along with other skips for other recyclables and general waste.

Herefordshire Council reminded residents that they still need to book a slot to visit any of the sites.

Without a booking, people will not be allowed onto the site.

You can book a slot here.
