ROAD crews are still busy clearing up downed trees in the aftermath of Storm Arwen in Herefordshire today.
A spokesperson for Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty Living Places said their tree teams and locality stewards are working at full capacity today (November 29) to deal with a number of incidents.
Crews are currently working to clear a fallen tree on the C1130 between Bartestree and Whitestone Business Park this afternoon.
They are also tackling a tree overhanging the carriageway on the A4110 at Adforton and a tree encroaching on the highway on the A4110 at Bewdley Bank.
A number of trees fell victim to the storm at the weekend, including an impressive old oak tree in Belmont Country Park.
Other casualties of the storm included fence panels and a billboard in Hereford's Widemarsh Street, while the city's Lidl supermarket was forced to temporarily close.
