A LORRY driver has been jailed after he was caught on a Herefordshire road while banned and over the drug-drive limit.
Charlie Fellows pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and drug-driving after previously entering a not guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Cwmbran.
The court heard the 32-year-old had been caught driving a MAN 35 heavy goods vehicle on the M50 in Herefordshire while disqualified on February 13.
A drug test revealed he also had 3.2 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.
Magistrates said Fellows, of Hobert Road, Tipton, had shown a flagrant disregard for court orders and that his offending was aggravated by his previous record.
Fellows was handed a 22-week prison sentence for driving while disqualified and a 10-week sentence, to be served concurrently, for drug-driving.
He was also disqualified from driving for 41 months and must also pay a £128 victim surcharge.
