A PUB on the Herefordshire border could be permanently lost as plans to turn it into a house are unveiled.
The Lloyney Inn, just outside Knighton, has been closed since 2016, applicants Thomas and Shirley Weaver told Powys County Council.
The couple want to change the use of the ground floor of the building, in the village of Lloyney on the border on England and Wales, from a pub to house.

They said the pub had not been trading since December 31, 2016.
That could suggest that there was little or no interest in the building remaining as a pub, which is something considered by the council before approving plans.
Mr and Mrs Weaver, of the Lloyney Inn, said the building was currently used as a "closed public house, lived in by the owners".

If approved, it would mean the whole building would be a home, and not just the first floor.
Comments on the plans, received by Powys County Council on October 20 and validated on November 5, can be made online.
