- After a delayed kick-off due to Chorley arriving late the game began with a bang.
- Firstly Harry Cardwell was found open inside the box before taking a poor touch for Chorley.
- At the opposite end Miles Storey beat the off-side trap but pulled the ball back to Ryan McLean whose effort was blocked before Tom Owen-Evans and striker Dan Smith also had efforts blocked.
- Hereford goalkeeper Brandon Hall was forced into action on 16 minutes tipping Harry Cardwell's header over.
- Moments later Hereford cleared a cross come shot into the box off their goal-line.
- Both goalkeepers were then forced into save with firstly Brandon Hall denying Cardwell's effort.
- Straight up the other end goalkeeper Matt Urwin saved with his feet to deny Storey's effort that looked certain to rattle the net.
- Next was Ryan McLean to go close for the Bulls firing just over from inside the box.
- Within a minute of the second half the Bulls went close again with Tom Owen-Evans beating the off-side trap and pulling the ball back for Ryan McLean whose effort was deflected over.
- Chorley were starting to look more threatening and Ustabasi beat Jared Hodgkiss for pace before crossing for Connor Hall whose effort was saved.
- The Bulls were also threatening and Owen-Evans saw his shot from outside the box flash just wide.
- Hereford took the lead nine minutes from time when an inch-perfect ball by Owen-Evans found Storey through on goal who chipped the advancing goalkeeper
