Tribute has been paid to a much-loved champion of Herefordshire’s cider-making heritage.
The well-known Bulmer family gathered in Hereford from across Europe to celebrate the life of cider museum stalwart Gillian Bulmer on October 14.
The Bulmer family were the long-standing owners of the Hereford cider company Bulmers, which is now the world's largest cider maker and is owned by Heineken.
Famous for its Strongbow, Scrumpy Jack, and Woodpecker ciders, the company’s Hereford factory still produces much of its cider.

The Museum of Cider in Hereford has curated a large exhibition of apples and pears, attended by members of the Bulmer family from around the country and Europe, in honour of Gillian Bulmer, who died earlier this year at the age of 86.
Gillian was the great granddaughter of Reverend Charles Bulmer.
Charles was the father of Fred and Percy, who established the Bulmer cider business.
She was a long-serving trustee of the museum and generous benefactor.
The exhibition was unveiled at an event held on Thursday October 14 to remember Gillian and features over 360 plates of fruit from growers and cider makers in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, and Wales.
Her brother John Bulmer said: “Gillian would have loved the event last Thursday.
“She did not want a funeral but seeing all the people at an apple display remembering her at her favourite place is just what she would have loved.”
The apples and pears will be on view in the museum this week.
Amongst the guest were Mr Edward Harley her majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire, chairman of Herefordshire council Sebastian Bowen and leader of Herefordshire council David Hitchiner.
