A LEARNER driver was caught behind the wheel while over the drug limit on a busy Herefordshire main road.
Samuel Jarvis pleaded guilty to four charges when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster.
The court heard Jarvis had been caught behind the wheel of a Ford Focus on the A49 at Hope Under Dinmore without a licence or insurance on December 26.
An evidential blood test revealed the 28-year-old had 3.9 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood and 97 microgrammes of cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. The legal limits are two and 50.
Jarvis, of Burnside, Telford, was disqualified from driving for 23 months and fined £60. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
