TWO roads near Ross-on-Wye will close for up to three months as work to install traffic lights gets under way.

Herefordshire Council said the B4224 would be closed at Old Gore Crossroads for 12 weeks from Monday (October 18) for the works.

OTHER NEWS:

The A449 at the junction, between Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye, would also shut for two weeks during the project.

It has not yet been confirmed when this will be.

The closures were required due to traffic signal installation, street lighting and carriageway works, a public notice said.

OTHER NEWS:

The diversion routes would be signposted locally, it added.

Upton Bishop Parish Council said after a meeting on Tuesday (October 4) that the new street lights would be dimmed at 2am.
