Met Office warning as heavy rain approaches Herefordshire
A WEATHER warning for rain has been issued for parts of Herefordshire today.
The Met Office warned that a band of heavy rain and gusty winds will arrive this evening (October 4).
Forecasters said the band of rain will move eastwards across Wales and southwest England into central and southern England this evening.
Around 20-30 mm of rain could fall in a few hours with as much as 40-50 mm in a few spots in southwest England, South Wales and also north-western parts of Wales, the Met Office yellow warning said.
Western parts of the warning area, except northwest Wales, will become drier from the west through the evening.
The yellow warning for rain is in force from 5pm today to 4am tomorrow.
