CRIMINALS have thrown paint over a classic car parked in a village near Hereford.

West Mercia Police said the Morris Minor had a "substantial" amount of paint thrown over it while it was parked in Cranwell Drive, Credenhill.

PCSO Christina Howard said officers were investigating the criminal damage and wanted any witnesses to come forward.

She said the damage was caused overnight on Saturday (September 25), and anyone with information should report it via the police website using reference 00196-I-26092021.

"If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org," she said.

"Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime."

Morris Minors were first made in 1948 and more than 1.5 million were produced in 23 years.
