RESIDENTS at a Hereford block of flats woke up to mysterious damage to their car park wall this morning.

The damage happened at The Embankment in Hereford overnight, with residents finding their Bath Street-facing wall appeared to have been hit, with blocks pushed into their private parking spaces overnight.

The damaged section of the two-metre tall wall is approximately six metres in length, said Ian Startin, who lives at The Embankment.

"The remainder of the wall still standing has shifted along its entire length and will need to be taken down as it is unstable."

Mr Startin said he and other residents believed the damage had happened at around 1am this morning (September 2), but that there was no CCTV in the area that could shed further light on what had happened, and that he hoped anyone who saw what happened would be able to come forward.
