PICTURES from the scene of an assault in Herefordshire which left one man seriously injured show police forensics swabbing the pavement.
West Mercia Police was called to New Street in Ledbury at around 10.30pm on Wednesday (September 1) to reports of three men with injuries.
A spokesperson said officers found the men and paramedics attended, with one person taken to hospital with serious injuries.

But they said the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
Detective Inspector Chris Percival said it was believed to be an isolated incident.
Officers at the scene on Thursday morning were maintaining a cordon, with New Street closed for a short distance near the British Heart Foundation charity shop.

Two uniformed officers were at the scene, with one taking swabs from the pavement near the shop.
Other police personnel were at the scene, with one marked car parked within the cordon.
