I must admit to being absolutely baffled by the article regarding the cancellation of the bypass to help reduce carbon emissions, this allows more congestion and stationary traffic onto the current roads through the city as they are not just backroads but major A roads with no viable alternatives.

This ongoing chatter from our elected councillors is turning into a farce as I am sure a measured carbon emissions exercise between a free flowing bypass would see far less than that on the current congested city roads, let's have an honest conversation on climate change.
It's not just cars causing this and unless we introduce a system like that of Pol Pot taking us back in time it is just talk and an ongoing competition between elected persons on who can talk up the pseudo green policies - come on lets get real!
