HEREFORD'S Edgar Street is set to play host to a charity football match this weekend, featuring stars from the TV and music worlds, including singer James Arthur.

Celebrities such as James Argent, Calum Best and Jake Wood will also take part in the match on Sunday, in aid of mental health charity Herefordshire Mind, as well as Hereford FC’s own Josh Gowling, Steve Burr and legend Rob Purdie.

Joe Sealey, son of former Manchester United goalkeeper Les and cast member of Real Housewives of Cheshire, has spoke about the event and what it will mean to raise money for the charity.

He said it will be his and wife Nicole's first time visitng Hereford, but he was looking forward to it as he travels to take part in the Sellebrity Soccer event.

"After Covid it’s great to get out and play football again and I’m privileged enough to be part of this," Sealey said.

"And I hope the people of Hereford enjoy it and come to support the game.

"Mind is a tremendous charity doing great work all over Britain including Herefordshire. We have all been affected by mental health at some point and Mind give people the help they need. I’m proud to be supporting Mind."

Sealey, who will be in goal on Sunday, said it was "always great" to play with "club legends", such as Hereford stalwart Rob Purdie, who had four spells with the Bulls where he played in more than 300 games.

What is Herefordshire Mind?

Herefordshire Mind describes itself as the county's local mental health charity.
