A POST office in a Herefordshire town is warning of delays for up to a month as it runs on skeleton staff.

Bromyard Post Office said it would be short-staff for around four weeks, with this expected to cause delays.

It would "endeavour to keep the post office open", with the owners leaving for India on short notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

In a notice to customers, the owners of the Church Street branch said: "We are remaining open with limited staff and are hoping there will be no real disruption to the services.

"Due to the short notice we have tried our best to limit the disruption to our customers.

"However, we would like to request patience with our staff during this period.

"We are really sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause.

"Thank you for understanding and hope to see you all soon."
