A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught drink-driving in Hereford.

Oliver Ransford admitted drink-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard the 21-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Renault Clio in Hereford's Ledbury Road while over the alcohol limit on June 10.

An evidential breath test revealed he had 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Ransford, of Donnington, Ledbury, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £281. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
