A TOWN centre chip shop is having to reduce its opening hours after a staff member was forced into coronavirus self-isolation.
Hay Takeaway, in Hay-on-Wye's Broad Street, said it would not be able to open at lunchtime on Friday (July 23) due to how short staffed it had left them.
Terri Williams, from the takeaway, said with one member of staff self-isolating, it left only two others at work.
"We will have to close tomorrow (Friday) lunch as I have my three children at home but will be back open from 5pm.
"I am so sorry about this, I hate to let people down, especially the regulars that come, but there is literally nothing I can do about it."
She added: "Please bare with us and we will do our absolute best to serve you fast and efficiently.
"We will have to put telephone orders on hold especially over the weekend as there is no way we will cope with it all."
