I thought Herefordshire Council was trying to improve biodiversity on the county's road verges.
Why then has a beautiful stretch of floriferous verge containing several rare orchids just been mowed while they were in full bloom?
I refer to the A49 north of Leominster at the junction to Kimbolton.
This is in direct opposition to county policy.
The result is a mess which does nothing to attract visitors to our county.
I and many others are disgusted by this action.
What are Hereford First and Green councillors doing about it? It is happening on their watch.
