A TRANSIT driver has been banned from the roads after drug-driving in a busy Hereford main road.
Karl Paisley entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 42-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Ford Transit van in Holmer Road while over the drug-drive limit on December 22.
An evidential blood test revealed he had 425 microgrammes of amphetamines and 7.5 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The respective legal limits are 250 and two.
He was also found to be carrying a quantity of cannabis on the same date.
Paisley, of Fetter Hill, Coleford, was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £500, and received a six-month conditional discharge for possessing the class B drug.
He must also pay costs of £185 and a £50 victim surcharge.
