A DRUG-DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught on the A49 in Hereford.
Rhodri Jones-Morris admitted two offences when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 42-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery on the A49 Asda roundabout in Hereford while over the drug-driving limit on December 22.
An evidential blood test revealed he had 5.3 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.
He was also found to be carrying a quantity of cannabis on the same date.
Jones-Morris, of Willersley, Herefordshire, was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £184, and received a 12-month conditional discharge for possessing the cannabis, which was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
He must also pay costs of £185 and a £34 victim surcharge.
