A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught drug driving in Herefordshire.
Daniel Thomas Cottrill admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 21-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Caddy van on the A4103 Hereford to Worcester road at Newtown Cross while over the drug limit on December 12.
An evidential blood test revealed he had 131 microgrammes of cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. The legal limit is 50.
Cottrill, of The Oaks, Droitwich, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £320. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
