A MAN has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after the car he was driving was involved in a crash with a lorry on the Hereford to Worcester road, emergency services have said.
West Mercia Police said the crash happened at Bransford, between Leigh Sinton and Worcester, and officers believed the car, a Nissan Micra, crossed onto the wrong side of the road before crashing with an articulated lorry.
The driver of the Micra, a 38-year-old man, was travelling towards Worcester at around 6.30am on Saturday (June 12), police said.
He suffered several serious injuries, thought to be life-changing, and was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for initial treatment before having surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Police said on Monday he was in a stable condition.
The driver of the lorry attended Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
