RESURFACING and other works will be carried out on Hereford's main bridge across the river Wye from tonight for more than two weeks.
Highways England, which manages the A49 through Herefordshire, said the overnight works would take place from Monday, June 14 to Tuesday, June 29.
The A49 will be partially across Greyfriars Bridge as part of the works, but when the northbound carriageway is closed vehicles will be able to use the southbound carriageway.
The same applies for when the southbound carriageway is closed, vehicles will be able to use the other side of the road.
The roadworks will be between the Steels and Asda roundabouts, and local diversions will also be used for Victoria Street closures.
Bridge joint work will be part of Highways England's scheme, with closures between 8pm and 6am.
