AN AUDI driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught drink-driving and without insurance on a Herefordshire main road.
Andrew Lewis entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard Lewis had been caught driving an Audi A4 while over the drink-driving limit on the A438 at Whitney-on-Wye on April 24.
An evidential test revealed he had 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The 46-year-old, who is also known by the alias 'Eggy', was also found to be driving without insurance.
Lewis, of Hay Road, Talgarth, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £230. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
