PICTURES show police and forensic tents set up around a cafe in Gloucester where police are searching for a suspected victim of Herefordshire-born serial killer Fred West.
Officers are searching the Clean Plate cafe after a tip off there could be remains at the cafe, potentially those of missing Mary Bastholm who went missing when she was 15.
She was last seen on January 6, 1968 waiting for a bus to go and see her boyfriend and is believed to have been offered a lift by the serial killer and then murdered.

Mary worked as a waitress at the cafe and Fred was a regular there.
Gloucestershire Constabulary said no excavation work had started, but released a statement from the family.

They said: "We are aware of the ongoing developments around Mary’s disappearance and are being kept up to date and supported by Gloucestershire Police family liaison officers.
"At this time please may we ask for privacy so we can grieve for Mary and direct any media queries to Gloucestershire Police’s press office.”
