A WOMAN has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a house fire in Herefordshire.

Three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford fire station were called to reports of the fire just before 4.30pm on Sunday, May 9, at Much Dewchurch.

A fire service spokesperson said one female casualty in her 70s with severe burns was treated by the ambulance service.

An ambulance service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.30pm on Sunday to reports of a house fire at a property in Much Dewchurch.

"Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and two Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) doctors attended the scene.

"Crews treated one patient, a woman, for potentially life-threatening injuries and she was conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.”
