I realise it is a little late but Revamping the City (March 4) brought to mind Beziers in France and the trompe-l’oeils of shop fronts and street scenes which are famous in the town.
They have been painted on blank walls and it is difficult to tell if they are real until you get up close to them.
I suggest the awful timber board wall to the car park on Edgar Street could be covered in sheets of board painted white and with a set of street scenes painted on them.
Other walls such as the side of the Butter Market would also be useful.
