A HEREFORD pub has said one customer will never set foot in their premises again after spitting in the face of its female manager.

The Spread Eagle in King Street said that the isolated incident happened over the weekend.

In a Facebook post thanking people for their support the pub said: "So what a great weekend we had here at the Spread, and we thank you all for coming in and supporting us and following the rules.

"However, we had an isolated incident last night where a customer spat in the face of our manager, Charlie Allport.

"Charlie is my daughter and the incident has been reported. As long as I am the licensee of the Spread Eagle he will never set foot in this place again.

"As stated on many previous posts I will not tolerate any abuse to any member of the Spread Eagle staff."
