A HEREFORDSHIRE teenager has been made Head Boy at his school after displaying academic and sporting success.
Keen sportsman Theo Mayell, who lives near Ross-on-Wye, has been named as the Head Boy at Monmouth School for Boys.
Theo, aged 17, is a former pupil at Walford Primary School, took part in a recent England men’s Under-18 rugby development camp and, in addition to representing the school’s first team, plays his club rugby with Worcester Warriors Academy.
He is studying A levels in Maths, Physics and Geography.
He will be supported by his Deputy Head Boys, Joe Jenkins, a former pupil at Madley Primary School in Herefordshire, and Zeb Bell.
Joe, aged 17, is also a keen sportsman, who cut his rugby teeth at Wyeside with Hereford Rugby Club, and has been training with the England men's Under-18 rugby squad.
Joe now plays his club rugby with Bristol Bears Under-18.
He is taking History, Geography and Economics at A level.
Zeb, aged 16, has just won a prestigious Gold Award in the British Physics Olympiad Senior Physics Challenge.
He is studying A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and English.
