A MOBILE Post Office is being introduced in three Herefordshire villages where their branches were closed.

Woolhope, Mordiford and Much Marcle will see the introduction of the temporary service along with Yazor Road while the Post Office looks for a permanent solution.

The Postmaster from Bromyard Post Office already operates a mobile service in the area and has now added the extra stops.

Katimay John, Post Office provision lead, said: “We are pleased to reinstate temporary mobile Post Office services to Woolhope, Mordiford, Yazor Road and Much, whilst we continue to seek a permanent solution.

"We thank the Postmaster for Bromyard for providing these services.”

  • The Yazor Road replacement service is The Monument pub car park, Whitecross Road, Hereford, HR4 0LT on a Monday from 9.15 – 10.15am.
  • The Mordiford stop is at the Moon Inn pub car park, Mordiford, HR1 4LW on a Tuesday from 11.45 – 12.45.
  • It then goes on to Woolhope and stops at Layby Lane, on Martins Close, Woolhope, HR1 4QS on a Tuesday from 1 – 2pm.
  • The stop in Much Marcle is at the Much Marcle Memorial Hall car park, Much Marcle, HR8 2LY on a Wednesday from 3 – 4pm.

To accommodate these additional stops the Post Office has made changes to the current opening hours of the Mobile Post Office services at Credenhill, Upper Sapey and Lea.

These changes took effect from last week.

There is a new location for the service for Lea. It now stops outside The Crown Inn pub car park, Ross Road, Lea, HR9 7JZ.
