Former Strictly judge and renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips CBE, who has a home near Leominster, is building on her local connections as she becomes a patron of 2Faced Dance Company.

Founder and Artistic Director of 2Faced Dance, Tamsin Fitzgerald, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Arlene to the company as our new Patron," said founder and artistic director of 2Faced Dance, Tamsin Fitzgerald. "As a company we have massive admiration for Arlene’s work and her tenacious approach and dedication to the arts.

"This past year has hit us hard, as it has the vast majority of arts organisations. We have worked tirelessly to ensure that we are still able to provide a dynamic, responsive and inclusive programme for our audiences and our community and to have Arlene’s support and patronage at this time is a massive boost for us.

Speaking of her appointment as Patron of the company, Ms Phillips added: “I am delighted that I will be a patron of 2Faced Dance, which is the only professional dance company in Herefordshire, and one of the few Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations in the region. They are a wonderful dance company, creating extraordinary work and I am very much looking forward to my involvement with them.”

2Faced Dance has been based in Hereford for 21 years, and produces innovative, accomplished and aspirational artistic performances and participation programmes alongside a captivating community dance programme. A registered charity, 2Faced Dance works extensively across the UK and internationally supporting and mentoring artists whilst simultaneously advocating on behalf of the wider dance sector.
