AROUND 150 gathered in a peaceful protest in Hereford this afternoon in opposition to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bil.
The Bill would give police in England and Wales more power to impose conditions on non-violent protests, including those deemed too noisy or a nuisance, with those convicted liable to fines or jail terms.

Cathedral Close
Around 150 people gathered at Cathedral Close in Hereford from noon today.
A speech was given by organisers stating that they wanted to protest against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.
Protestors marched to High Town
Under guidance of designated marshals by organisers Extinction Rebellion the protestors then marched down St John Street and then Offa Street before arriving in High Town.
Gathering at the Bull Statue
Protestors then gathered around the Bull statue in High Town before more speeches were given.
Shortly at 1pm the protest was over in High Town and protestors were invited to take their placards to Jesse Norman’s office in Broad Street.
