A SERIOUSLY injured man has been airlifted to hospital after being rescued from a cliff near Ross-on-Wye.
Paramedics and the fire service were involved the cliff rescue on Tuesday afternoon, with the man injured while felling trees in Symonds Yat.
Firefighters from Ross-on-Wye, Whitchurch and from Gloucestershire were involved in the rescue from the steep bank.
The patient was then airlifted to hospital with serious injuries for further treatment, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

They said the man was found using the What3Words app, which allocates a unique three word combination for each three-metre grid across the globe.
“We were called at 1:01pm to reports of a man who had been injured whilst felling trees in Symonds Yat," they said.
"We sent the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and a land ambulance to the scene.
"Crews were able to locate the patient using the ‘What3Words’ service.
"We treated the man for serious injuries and he was taken to hospital by air ambulance for further treatment.”
