PARKING charges will be coming into force at Herefordshire sports centre which is currently being used as a coronavirus vaccination centre.
Halo Leisure will be introducing the pay and display machines at its Bridge Street Sports Centre in Leominster, but people heading to the vaccination centre will not have to pay.
GP surgeries in north Herefordshire have been working together at the site in Leominster to administer the Covid-19 jabs to patients.

But from March 29, anyone parking at the centre for any reason other than to get their jab, will have to pay £1 for four hours.
Halo Leisure's regional manager Alex Haines said the fees are needed to pay for the upkeep of the facility.
"As a social enterprise and registered charity Halo Leisure, which runs Bridge Street Sports Centre, will use the much needed income generated from the introduction of pay and display parking at the site to help support the upkeep of the facility," he said.
"The prices are very competitive – you can park for 4 hours for £1 or buy an annual pass for just £28 for the year."
Halo already charges for car parking at Hereford and Leominster leisure centres, and workers were seen at the Bridge Street site on Monday putting up the pay and display signs.
