A MAN was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his back following an incident in Hereford.

Police were called at 12.20pm on Saturday to a property in River View in the city.

A police statement said: "A man in his 30s was treated at the scene for a stab wound to his back and was taken to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"An 18-year-old man from Worcester was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail."
