The Romans were good at building roads and maybe Herefordshire Council might learn something from them.

There have been several disconnected alterations to the Roman Road in the recent past.

A coherent plan using the Roman Road would have improved the East West traffic flow.

For instance the straight piece of road by the New Market was dropped down with no clear thought as to how it might best contribute to the system as whole.

Similarly with the new housing development to the east of it.

Wouldn't it have made sense when making these changes to also straighten the railway bridge at the Aylestone Hill end, widen all sections equally and link them all together.

It's like Hereford cycle paths that are made up of disjointed fragments also with no coherent plan behind them.
