SEVEN more care home residents in Herefordshire have died with coronavirus, the latest official figures show.
The data from the Office for National Statistics shows that over the last week another 20 people have died in all settings, with coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate.
According to the ONS or the most-recent seven-day period, there had been seven deaths in care homes, one elsewhere, one at a person's home and 11 in hospital.
It means 227 deaths involving Covid-19 happened in Herefordshire up to January 15, and in the first two weeks of January alone, 10 deaths happened in care homes.
The week before the toll stood at 203, with the four other deaths happening in previous weeks, but with a delay in them being registered.
In total, 84 deaths have happened at care homes and 143 elsewhere.
That includes one elsewhere, eight in private homes, four in hospices and 130 in hospital.
Last week, Herefordshire's acting director of public health Dr Rebecca Howell-Jones said: "There have been a number of clusters and outbreaks in a range of settings including households, workplaces and care homes.
"Locally and across the country, we know that care homes are particularly vulnerable to outbreaks and hence the prioritisation of care home residents and staff for vaccination.
"I want to thanks those working in the county's care sector for everything they are doing to look after residents and those receiving care at home during these difficult times.
"When an outbreak has occurred, care providers have been excellent in the way they work with public health teams, local authority commissioners and other partners to act quickly and effectively to reduce transmission."

The figures, published weekly, are based on where Covid-19 is mentioned anywhere on the death certificate. It does not give a location more specific than Herefordshire.
The data includes deaths up to January 5, but registered up to eight days later.
This is in contrast to daily figures from NHS England which only show patients who died at the Wye Valley NHS Trust after testing positive for coronavirus.
These figures from the NHS say there have been 145 deaths at the trust as of 4pm on Monday (January 24).
Public Health England figures show that 5,702 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Monday (January 25) in Herefordshire, up from 5,528 the same time on Friday.
In the last seven days, there have been 466 new cases.
