SIX staff members at a Herefordshire GP surgery group have tested positive for coronavirus, with more workers told to self-isolate.

Ledbury Health Partnership, which runs surgeries in St Katherine’s Street and Market Street, said there had been no breaches of personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines with patients.

"Five members of our non-clinical team and one clinical staff member have tested positive for Covid-19," the partnership said in a statement.

"There have been no breaches of PPE with patients. As a precaution, some of our remaining team will be self-isolating."

The group, along with surgeries in Bromyard, Colwall and Cradley, have been running a coronavirus vaccination centre at Ledbury Community Hall.

Ledbury Health Partnership said the upcoming clinics will not be affected, and those with appointments should still attend.

"We have made alternative arrangements due to staffing levels which includes rearranging a small number of non-urgent appointments; these patients have been informed accordingly.

"Our Covid-19 vaccination clinics will still be running as planned at the Ledbury Community Hall and therefore you should still attend if you have been invited.

"The practice remains open and you can continue to contact us by telephone or online should you need us.

"Thank you for your understanding and patience at this difficult time."
