I cannot be the only reader who was staggered at recent Hereford Times reports about John Kyrle High School.
The students are being failed by their head and the governors.
£187,000 in a failed attempt to stop a neighbouring school from opening a sixth form follows the findings of an Employment Tribunal, which was highly critical of the head and governors, that they did unfairly dismiss a member of staff... this failed action will also come with a hefty price tag of at least £100,000.
The failure of the head and the governors has resulted in an enormous legal and damages bill that could exceed £300,000.
Whoever decided that both actions were worth fighting needs to go and go soon.
