ONE more person with coronavirus has died at their home in Herefordshire, the latest official figures show.

Office for National Statistics data shows five residents in Herefordshire have died at home and had coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate.

It is the first death at a private home recorded in the figures since the week ending June 7.

The ONS data shows across the county 143 deaths involving Covid-19 were provisionally registered in Herefordshire up to November 28.

Some 69 deaths have happened at hospital, three more than were recorded the previous week, and 74 elsewhere.

That includes 66 in care homes and five at private homes. Three deaths were in hospices.

The figures, published weekly, are based on where Covid-19 is mentioned anywhere on the death certificate. It does not give a location more specific than Herefordshire.

The data includes deaths up to November 20, but registered up to eight days later.

This is in contrast to daily figures from NHS England which only show patients who died at the Wye Valley NHS Trust after testing positive for coronavirus.

These figures from the NHS say there have been 74 deaths at the trust as of 4pm on Monday (November 29).

As of 9am on Monday (November 30), 2,461 people in Herefordshire had tested positive for the virus since March, up by 21 from on Sunday.
