LLANWRTYD Wells Town Council are asking people in the community to join in with a Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue festive project called 'Share the Love'.

They are asking for volunteers, cadets and the local community to send in cards, letters and pictures that they will send to people who are lonely, isolated or in a care setting this winter.

With predictions that winter will be much harder for our older generation this year than previous years, with local restrictions and care home visits being limited, they are asking you to share the love.

They need letters, cards and pictures to send on to our care homes and isolated people in our command areas.

For many of our older generation the digital world is far from reach and to receive a letter, card or picture in the post would put a smile on someone’s face.

If you feel that this is something you would like to get involved in, contact community volunteer coordinator Jay Crouch at: Service Headquarters, Lime Grove Avenue, Carmarthen, SA31 2SP or email on lj.crouch@mawwfire.gov.uk for more information.

There are lots of things you can write about, for example: your day, your friends, what you're studying at school or uni, a new job, your hobbies, what you're reading or what you're watching.

Make sure you ask them some questions too, so they can reply.

Letters/cards must be handwritten and large print if possible. Please avoid any sensitive topics, your letter or card should be suitable for all. Be creative, maybe a poem or joke. Add some drawings or pictures.

Please do not add personal details such as your number or address or other ways to contact you. All reply letters will be sent to fire headquarters and then forwarded on appropriately.
