I am writing to suggest an idea which I believe, if the two-metre distancing was adhered, to would work.
I am a nurse. I see patients, colleagues, neighbours and family having a tough year.
What brought people close in the last lockdown was the Thursday clap for the NHS.
That’s stopped, but how about replacing it with a Thursday Christmas song every Thursday throughout December.
It would bring our lovely city of Hereford alive. It would lift people’s spirits.
You could ask local schools to vote for a Christmas song. We all need hope and something to look forward to each week.
Many people have no one close.
They could sing from their sofas and open their windows for five minutes to be involved.
