A CONTROL zone has been enforced in North Herefordshire after a bird flu outbreak.

To reduce the risk of the transmission of avian influenza (bird flu), the Secretary of State has declared as a temporary control zone in the areas around the premises.

A full list of the restrictions are available HERE

The measures apply from 12.30pm on November 11, until this declaration is withdrawn or 'amended by further declaration'.

Also poultry is to be isolated and no person should move poultry, other captive birds or mammals.

There should also be no releasing of game birds in the area.

Poultry and eggs may be transported through the zone on a major highway or railway if no stop is made within the zone.
