THE area of Hereford North West recorded the most coronavirus cases last week in Herefordshire.

In the seven days ending on November 1, Hereford North West area recorded 16 cases- a rise of nine cases on figures recorded for the previous week.

Included in the Hereford North West area are Bobblestock, Westfields, Three Elms and off Yazor Road, Kings Acre Road and Holmer Road.

The seven-day rolling statistics are released by the Government.

Meanwhile, Hereford South recorded 11 cases and Hereford North East had eight cases.

Elsewhere, Belmont, Madley and Clehonger also had eight cases recorded along with Colwall, Cradley & Wellington Heath.

All these area were classed by the Government as having a 'blue' MSOA rate of between 101 and 201.

Seven–day rates are expressed per 100,000 population and are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.

Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOA) are a geographic hierarchy designed to improve the reporting of small area statistics in England and Wales.

Elsewhere in the county Ross-on-Wye saw a decrease of nine cases on the previous week meaning seven were recorded.
