YOUR school days are meant to be the best days of your life, according to the saying. But are they?
Our new We Grew Up In Hereford group on Facebook continues to grow and now has 6,224 members who enjoy chatting about their memories of the city, including nights out, shopping and their hobbies.
School days are another popular talking point, with people sharing class pictures from back in the day.
Gary Phillips shared a number of pictures from Aylestone school taken in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
They also included a list of names of students and their forms, jogging memories for people of their former classmates.
Sean Millichamp said: “Wow, great to see the whole year named there, Gary – a real blast from the past.
“I’ve lived away from Hereford for more than 25 years now, but great to see some of the memories on this page.”
On a post about Whitecross, former student Andrew Boucher spotted himself in the picture (top right).
He managed to put a date to it, 1982/83, as people discussed their memories of people being thrown in the swimming pool.
Brandon Davies said: “So many got thrown in pool, or the pond where people queued for dinner.”
