A STAFF member at KFC in Hereford has tested positive for coronavirus, the fast food chain has confirmed.
It means four other workers at the Stonebow Road branch are also self-isolating after being deemed to be close contacts.
The worker's positive test result was confirmed on Thursday morning (November 5), but they had been in self-isolation for two days.
A KFC spokesperson said: “A team member at our KFC Stonebow Road branch tested positive for coronavirus this morning, and it goes without saying we’re wishing them a full and speedy recovery.
"They were already self-isolating at home since Tuesday and four other team members are also currently self-isolating as a precaution.
"We have strict social distancing measures in the restaurant and we’re taking every precaution and doing all we can to support the team members at this time."

The spokesperson added: "Rest assured that we are following all the necessary guidance to maintain a safe, clean environment for both our teams and guests.
"Our top priority has been making sure our restaurants operate responsibly, we are following government guidelines and advice rigorously."
On Thursday, all KFC restaurants in England closed in line with the latest Government lockdown rules.
The chain is still offering takeaway, drive-thru and delivery, with this allowed during England's second lockdown.
