POLICE have arrested the occupant of this car near Scarborough after a violent incident in York.
North Yorkshire Police tweeted that the occupant of a car fled in the vehicle towards Scarborough following the unspecified incident, but was located and detained at Staxton, and was now in custody.
Officers thanked response colleagues for their support and for a “good spot” using automatic numberplate recognition.
