A CORONAVIRUS case has been picked up at a Flintshire primary school.
In an email seen by the Leader, dated October 19, parents and carer of pupils at Ysgol Cae'r Nant in Connah's Quay have been informed that a confirmed case of the virus has been established through the Test, Trace , Protect system.
A school spokesman said: "Ysgol Cae'r Nant remains open. It is working closely with Public Health Wales, the local authority and NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect to ensure that all the appropriate measures are in place to protect students, staff and the wider community.
"This letter is to inform you of the current situation and to provide advice on how to support your child."
The note confirms that all close contacts of the case have been identified and have received appropriate support.
The letter states it is for the attention of Class Gwyrdd - it does not confirm if it is a member of school staff or a pupil that has tested positive for the virus.
