AN MP spoke of her delight after it was revealed two Hollywood stars are looking to buy Wrexham AFC.
The Leader reported on Wednesday how Wrexham Supporters Trust voted to allow sale talks to go ahead with "two extremely well-known individuals of high net worth."
It was revealed soon after that the two individuals were superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The reveal caused a lot of excitement among fans and social media users.
Wrexham's MP Sarah Atherton shared the sentiment, explaining: "I am delighted to see such a high-profile investment in Wrexham AFC, and the excitement that this has generated.
"I hope this news adds to the growing number of Wrexham fans across Wales.
“I look forward to attending the next game, when we are all able to get back to the stands.”
A spokesman for the Wrexham Supporters Trust said: "In due course, Mr. McElhenney and Mr. Reynolds will put forward their vision for Wrexham AFC and proposal for members to vote on at a second Special General Meeting."
