A SHOPLIFTER accused of biting two Worcester supermarket workers is due to appear at the city’s crown court today.

Leanne Croke-Loveridge of Newtown Road, Ronkswood, Worcester is one of the cases due to be heard today when she is expected to enter a plea.

The 36-year-old did not enter pleas to two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at the Tesco store in Warndon Villages on October 23 last year and theft of £799 of groceries on the same date when she appeared at the magistrates court last month.

Joshua Trossell is listed for sentence in court one. Later on in the morning the trial of Robert Glover is scheduled to begin but, if that does not go ahead, the backer trial of Saman Ahamadi could be called on instead.

In court two pleas are being taken from Shane Smith, Richard Eldridge, Jamie Whittingham, Nathan Woodward, Graham Whittal.

Court three is sitting too. Shane Kelly is expected to be sentenced as is Luke Joseph Marston, Owen McDonagh and Stuart Butler. There will be a plea and trial preparation hearing for co-defendants Bernette Brooke, Philip Brooke and Paul Carmichael.
